Oil based Scumble - A traditional transparent oil glaze with an extended drying time for decorative paint work. Dries to a translucent gloss finish on a wide range of surfaces. Can be tinted with Polyvine Woodgrain Oil Colourant, most oil based paints, or universal stainers. After brushing the coloured Scumble over the base coat the desired decorative effect is created by breaking the surface with a crumpled rag, bag, sponge or a Polyvine tool or brush. When the glaze is completely dry it can be sealed with a coat of Polyvine Extra Pale Varnish.

Water based Scumble - A unique acrylic transparent glaze for decorative paint work. Unique in providing up to one hour working time. Dries to a durable water resistant finish on a wide range of surfaces. This interior or exterior glaze is the first water based product to reproduce faithfully the beauty of traditional oil finishes. Colour with universal acrylic colourant to produce stunning decorative paint effects.

Classic Colour - An acrylic glaze which when coloured with satin or matt emulsion/latex can be used to produce semi transparent coloured paint effects. For water and wear resistance, allow a minimum of 48 hours before protecting with Polyvine Decorators Varnish (gloss, satin or dead flat). Test on a small area of the effect before application.

Crackle Glaze - Designed to produce consistent cracking of emulsion paint. This acrylic medium creates dramatic two colour aged effects. The crackle glaze is applied over an emulsion base coat which will be the colour of the cracks. An emulsion top coat in the chosen colour is then applied over the glaze. The top coat cracks to reveal the base coat.

Frosting Varnish -An acrylic medium that creates the stunning visual effect of etched glass. Designed for interior use on most glass and plastics to give the effect of frosted glass. Can also be used with stencils to transform plain glass panels.

Cracklelure - By using a simple two part (base coat and top coat) clear acrylic system this varnish faithfully reproduces the regular crazed pattern associated with old porcelain glazes.  Please note that you need to buy both the base coat and the top coat to create the effect.  The crackle effect produced by craquelure can be accentuated with a crack highlighter which is available in either white or dark brown for a truly aged finish.

Acrylic Varnish -  A revolutionary water based varnish for the protection of a wide range of decorative surfaces - for interior emulsion wallpaper, fabric and plaster work. Available in three finishes - satin, gloss and dead flat.

Acrylic Metallic Paints - Simply brushes on easily giving a rich deep colour, creating a subtle metallic sheen. The unusual mica pigment dries to a genuine metallic sheen which can be polished to a high shine. It has a rich deep colour and very good covering power, ideal for a wide range of applications. It is highly durable and is heat and water resistant, being easy to apply, with good brushing and spreading properties.

Clear Wax Finish - Combines the durability of a varnish with the silky feel of wax, reminiscent of the traditional feel of lovingly preserved furniture. Protects all timber surfaces with a highly durable, water and heat resistant film.  Clear Wax Finish Varnish will protect and enhance a wide range of surfaces where a traditional finish is required.  Coloured Wax Finish Varnish transforms wood, producing subtle, even shades, previously only obtainable by a master craftsman
