Stewart McLaren of Maclaren Signs - 22ct Gold Leaf at The Cromlix Hotel

We are delighted to see our long-standing customer and good friend, Stewart McLaren of Maclaren Signs, playing a key role in the recent refurbishment of Cromlix, the renowned 5-star country house hotel near Dunblane.

Working alongside Kings Group Scotland, specialists in planning, construction, shopfitting, groundworks, landscaping, and turnkey project management services throughout Scotland, Stewart has contributed exceptional craftsmanship to this prestigious project.
Set within the beautiful Stirlingshire countryside, Cromlix is a magnificent Victorian mansion featuring luxurious rooms and suites, private cottages, stunning gardens, woodland walks, a loch, chapel, and tennis courts.

The refurbishment has carefully enhanced the property's timeless elegance while preserving its distinctive character.
As part of the project, Stewart carried out all of the gilding work and a selection of the signwriting, using our 22ct Gold Leaf.

The photographs showcase the outstanding quality of his craftsmanship and demonstrate how traditional gilding techniques continue to add a touch of luxury and refinement to some of Scotland's most prestigious hospitality venues.

We are proud to have supplied the materials for such an impressive restoration and congratulate Stewart and everyone involved in bringing this remarkable project to life.
