Janet began her career as an apprentice signwriter and gilder with a commercial signwriting company, then moved to the National Trust.
She joined the National Trust building team as a signwriter and decorator where she learnt about paperhanging and traditional paints whilst working alongside many skilled craftsmen.
At the Trust Janet was awarded a William Morris Fellowship by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings through which she expanded her knowledge by working with the top experts in the country. We have been supplying Janet with Gold Leaf for a number of years now for some very prestigious projects.
