Illuminating with Gold Leaf Workshop with Sarah Davis

We were delighted to support this year’s participation of the Grade I-listed North Wing at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London Craft Week.
Completed in 1732 and designed by renowned architect James Gibbs, the North Wing remains one of Britain’s most historically significant hospital buildings — a remarkable blend of Baroque architecture, medical heritage, and philanthropy.
As part of the programme, artist Sarah Davis led an Illuminating with Gold Leaf workshop, and we were honoured to donate the gold leaf used throughout the session.
How wonderful for the participants to explore traditional gilding techniques within such an inspiring setting. Here are a few of the beautiful pieces created during the workshop.
