Genuine Gold and Silver Powders are available in 1 gram pots and come in various different carats and shades, 23.5ct Superior, 22.9ct Rouge, 1/2 Jaune, 1/2 Citron, 9.6ct Gris and Genuine Silver. Genuine Gold and Silver powders are applied by preparing the surface with gold size and waiting for this to go to a dry tack, like the tack of a post-it note. The Gold or Silver powder is then brushed over the size or dusted with a pounce bag . As soon as the area is covered with the powder it should be firmly pressed into place to ensure as much as possible is adhered. Genuine Gold and Silver Powder can also be mixed with gum arabic to make shell gold.
